Everything you need
to be a Catholic musician…

all in one powerful platform.

“

I wish to remind each of you that, beyond functional considerations, the close alliance that has always existed between the Gospel and art means that you are invited to use your creative intuition to enter into the heart of the mystery of the Incarnate God and at the same time into the mystery of man.

– Pope Saint John Paul II, Letter to Artists

Fellow Musician,

It’s likely that you are here for the same reason we are. You have discerned a call to make music for the glory of God, began pouring yourself out in ministry, and found yourself with more questions than answers. Why is the Church so divided on music? How do we chase beauty, excellence, and truth through the expression of song? Does this music or that music fit the Mass? Is there a space for me to serve outside of the liturgy? How do I keep a solid prayer life while pouring out in a ministry setting?

This is the heart of CatholicMusician.org: to be formed and equipped so that we draw closer to Christ through the ineffable gift of music, and lead others into the same. While the conversation starts with the liturgy – the source and summit of our faith – it’s so much bigger than that:

We invite you to join us on the journey. Come be excellently equipped for music ministry in whatever context the Lord has called you to serve.

The place for Catholic musicians (that’s you and us) to be equipped for ministry through dynamic resources on liturgy, devotion, community, and musicianship.

“We created this platform because, frankly, we needed it just as much as everyone around us. Here is finally a place to mine the depths of Catholic music, grow in musicianship and faith together, and explore this God-given gift of music.”

Coming Soon: Meaning of Music

This Winter, experience Meaning of Music, an eight-episode documentary film series aimed at discovering the gift of music in the life of faith. In this film project, we unpack music in its many forms and moments by bringing to the same table for the first time ever the voices of musicians, clergy, scholars, speakers, and more.

You will get access to the film series as well as extended interviews, featuring an incredible cast.
